Summary of issues discussed:
Presentations and updates were given by James Hampson (British Council) Ian Gwyn Hughes (FAW) and Eluned Haf (Wales Arts International) about Wales’ participation in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the impact in showcasing Wales on the world stage. An update was also given by Jane Dodds MS on Wales’s Response to the ongoing situation in Iran.

Summary of issues discussed:
As part of the 50 Years of Diplomatic Relations celebrations between UK and Vietnam, we look at the lessons and opportunities arising from a continued and concerted effort of international cross sector engagement using the Wales-Vietnam long standing partnership as a case study. The Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK, HE Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long was also in attendance to listen to the discussion. Members reelected Heledd Fychan MS as chair of the Wales International Cross-Party Group and the British Council were reconfirmed as Secretariat for the year.
